Zomee Z2 Chit-Chat

It's no secret...I've tried a lot of breast pumps! Some are a great, some...not so much! I'll be honest, my experience with the Zomme Z2 double electric breast pump has been a mixed bag. Let's dive into it!

My experience with the Zomee Z2:

Initially, I liked this pump! It seemed to be working well. I was impressed with how quickly I was able to express and finish each pumping session. (Or so I thought.) After a week or so of nearly continuous use, I noticed that my milk supply just wasn't what it should have been. After a 10 minute pumping session with the Zomee Z2, I decided to hook up another pump and was able to pump an additional 4 ounces of milk when my breast had already stopped responding to the Zomee. I was inadvertently weaning/reducing my milk supply using the Zomee Z2.

Yikes.

Essentially, I learned that although the Zomee Z2 was a fast working pump and good for moments when I was in a time crunch, it's NOT a good option as a breast pump because I was leaving milk behind. I still use it from time to time, but when I do, I make sure to follow up with a more effective pump during the next pumping session.
