Medela Freestyle Flex Chit-Chat

Fleestyle Flex Pump Key Features:

  • Touchscreen
  • Two modes: Stimulation and Expression
  • 9 levels of intensity for each mode
  • Loud volume
  • Comes with milk collection cups

My Thoughts:

Alright, here are my honest thoughts about the Medela Freestyle Flex Pump. I am not a fan of this pump's stimulation mode. I personally find it uncomfortable which gets in the way of inducing a letdown (kind of the whole point of stimulation mode.) I am able to induce a letdown using the expression mode, but it took a lot longer to get a letdown than it normally would with other pumps.

Overall, this is not the pump for me. I didn't love it and my body didn't respond well to it. To learn more, check out this in-depth review

Medela Collection Cups:

  • 3 parts only for easy cleaning
  • 24 mm flanges
  • 5 oz containment cups

My Thoughts:

I love these cups! The cups seals tightly to the flange without pinching any of the silicone. The body of the cup is a nice shape and relatively discreet (at least as much as a collection cup can be.)

Updates Since Recording:

  • The Medela Collection Cups are now sold separately from the Freestyle Flex Pump. (THANK GOODNESS!!) You can purchase them HERE.
