Key Features:
- Price: $65, but keep an eye out for sales
- Design: High neck with a zipper closure that reveals a traditional pumping and nursing bra underneath
- Clips: Regular nursing clasps
Pros of the Capucine 2:
- Comfortable: It's a pretty comfortable fit, even with the additional structure for workouts.
- Supportive: The high neck adds a lot of downward pressure for support, whether you're jogging, doing light exercise, or just chasing your kids. You’ll notice significantly less bounce than with a standard pumping or nursing bra.
- Removable Pads: It comes with removable pads, which I typically hate, but these are surprisingly fine. They don’t bunch up in the wash, either—a nice bonus!
Cons of the Capucine 2:
- Not for Long-Term Wear: I usually wear this for a quick workout, then change into a different bra. It’s not the most comfortable for all-day pumping or nursing.
- Clip Design Issues: The clip has a long, dangly strap that can get lost when nursing. It’s not attached to anything, which makes it tricky to manage.
- Pump Panel Troubles: The pumping panel doesn’t offer much coverage, so there’s a lot of underboob, at least for my size. Flanges also doesn’t stay put easily with the positioning of the overlapping fabrics, so I have to fidget with them during my sessions, which is super annoying.
-
Not for Wearable Pumps: If you use a wearable cup pump, skip this bra—it’s way too taut. Stick to traditional flanges with this one.
As a sports bra, the Capucine 2 is a win. You get great support and minimal bounce. But as a pumping bra, it falls short. It’s perfect for a quick workout, but you’ll probably want to change into something else if you plan to pump or nurse right after.
