Let's talk about the Discrete Duo by Lansinoh. The Duo is a wearable breast pump that boasts being cordless AND tubeless. For moms on the go, not having to deal with wires and tubes can definitely be nice.
Pumping Mode 1:
- Stimulation mode
- Quick tugs followed by a long pull
My thoughts: The quick tugs aren't strong enough to stimulate a let-down.
Pumping Mode 2:
- Drop mode -- designed to be an expression mode
- Fast pulses
My thoughts: This mode feels more like a stimulation mode than the expression mode it is designed to be. It is way too strong for me and I find it uncomfortable.
Pumping Mode 3:
- Massage mode
My thoughts: I can hardly feel this one. It doesn't do anything for me.
Pumping Mode 4:
- Automatic mode
- Pump switches between the intensity levels on it's own
My thoughts: The automatic changes between levels are WAY too fast. They don't do anything for me.
Final Thoughts:
I can't figure this pump out. There are so many different modes and none of them are ultra-effective for me. I can move milk with it, but not easily or comfortably. I'd recommend choosing a different pump. Need some suggestions? Check these out.
