Momcozy M5 vs Momcozy Air 1 vs Eufy S1 Pro Comparison

Oh boy, this is going to be a tough one with a lot to unwrap! I think it’s fair to say the real comparison is going to be between the Momcozy Air 1 and Eufy S1 Pro, as they’re both WiFi compatible and come with a charging case. Those two features alone have them on their own island. But many have been asking how they compare to the Momcozy M5, too. Considering that was one of my go-to pumps for so long, it’s a fair request. So which is it? Who wins in the world of mobile pumping right now?! Don’t blink, because if you do, another pump might be available in the next 10 minutes- so let’s ignore the noise and dive into this triple comparison on hand!

Momcozy Air1, Eufy S1, Momcozy M5

To date, a pump that has yet to fail me is the M5. Am I suggesting the Air 1 (or as I like to call it, A1) or the S1 aren’t satisfactory pumps? Not at all, but I also haven’t been using them long enough to have them poop out on me. The Momcozy M5 has been a strong and reliable contender for a long time. My original M5 review was posted on July 17, 2023, after months of using it before sharing my thoughts. If you read that review you’ll see how I was excited about the carrying case it came in- just simplified storage, and that it came with inserts. Funny how that case is a thing of the past when compared to what we are seeing now- actual pump cases THAT CHARGE YOUR PUMP! I mean, there’s been some major advances! Something this pump has that neither of the other pumps can offer is a solid silicone flange, through and through. I’m still loving this flange over all, the assembly and body of this round pump still beats anything with hard edges out of the water. I think the M5 is a simple and effective, not super tech-y pump. I think it’s perfect for someone who wants mobiles but doesn’t want to pay big money to get them. Someone who doesn’t want WiFi planted on their boobs and is looking for a pump that doesn’t draw a ton of attention. It’s a cost effective pump that delivers the same efficient removal as the pricier options. And yes, you can use the Elvie cushions in the M5, who would have thought I’d find love with anything offered by Elvie.. not me! If you’re in need to reducing your flanges I recommend trying the Elvie cushions opposed to the flange inserts the M5 come with. You’ll still have the comfort of silicone with these full cushions and effectiveness of the M5 suction.

Momcozy M5

I'm going to add this last bit to each summary called, does it work with elastic tissue?. I have elastic tissue and I’ve never had an issue with the M5 flanges. The backflow protector is at the end of the flange tunnel. In my experience, it doesn’t come into contact with the end of my nipples. But it’s only fair to share that I have definitely gotten some feedback that the M5 is not good for elastic tissue. I can’t agree to this 100% but I also think that depending on the severity of your ET, there will always be someone who may have an issue with something. It’s just to be expected. Again, based on my experience with elasticity and the M5, I personally have not had any negative experiences to report.

So how would I compare the M5 to the S1 and Air 1? Again, I think it’s a far more basic pump, more comfortable than the Air 1 but not as comfortable as the S1. The other two have more suction and cycle speed options. But unless you’re looking to really dial in your pump settings, you may not need all those extra features. The M5 has three preset modes and you can adjust the suction strength. Unlike the other two that have app capabilities and endless customizable options.

Eufy S1, Momcozy M5

As far as flange comfort goes, I’d rank...

Eufy S1 first, Momcozy M5 second, and in last place the Momcozy Air 1. This is ranking flanges as is, no additional cushions (not referring to inserts) to help improve comfort. There’s something about that Eufy S1 flange, with or without heat turned on, that is super comfortable. I love a good silicone flange and the Eufy S1 did a great job on that material. So the Momcozy M5 would be next choice because, well it’s all silicone - your typical, non-tacky silicone flange. And then, well, if you watched my Momcozy A1 chit-chat, you’d see I don’t care a ton for the flange on this pump.

That wraps up this part of the comparison . Let’s move one to what everyone wants to know.. the Momcozy Air1 or the Eufy S1 Pro. All I have to say is Oy Vey, bring on the pressure! You ladies really put me on the spot with the demand for this trifecta comparison, but these two are the real head to head. I do think they’re not really the same, kind of like your breasts, sisters not twins. The S1 and Air 1 may share some similarities but I really believe they’re different. So what is it, Kristen? Which is better? Cut to the chase!

Momcozy A1, Eufy S1

**bites nails out of anxiety**

Okay, so I love the flanges on the S1 Pro by Eufy, those are tough to beat. They’re super comfortable and I think the flange angle and seat on the breast is perfect. It has heat... huge advantage point and something unlike any other mobile we’ve ever seen. If you find you need to apply heat to your sessions, look no further- because it’s only here with the S1. Fact's a fact. But what you don’t get with the S1 are the Air 1’s sensors. I will continue to defend my honor and not back down, they’re accurate. Are they dead nuts accurate? No, that’s not happening with anything. Do I find they’re typically within an ounce, yes. Considering the original Elvie would flag your cups as being full with only 2 ounces, when full was ~4 to 5 ounces, I’ll take a one ounce margin with the Air 1’s.

Momcozy Air1, Eufy S1

Momcozy Air1 vs Eufy S1 power connetion locations. A1 connects at base of hub offering more stability in the case while on the go. While transporting Eufy's hubs in charging case without cup completely assembled the hubs can easily bounce of the magnetic charging connectors.

The two top features with these pumps are either you’re enticed by the heat flow technology with the S1 or the slim design with the Air 1. Unfortunately there’s no product that has married the two features… not yet at least, but I’m sure it’s coming. Both of these pumps have apps, both helpful and easy to use. But only one has the insights on the sensors, if you’re wanting to see your milk in the pumps in real time- it’s going to be the Air 1 all the way. Neither of these pumps automatically turn off, so you don’t have to weigh that option, but the Air 1 does send alerts to your phone informing you the cups are about to overflow. If you ignore or miss those alerts the pumps will overflow, but so will the Eufy S1. The Air 1 have an attached plug but it has a weep hole to allow pressure to leave the cup, and I’ve had my share of sloshing with this weep hole- so I’m not going to pretend they're leak-proof because they’re not. Eufy has THESE after market silicone plugs for their pumps but I find they fall out super easily. Either way Air 1 or S1, you can leak and overflow, so it’s a moot point.

Momcozy Air1, Eufy S1

Comfort, as far as flanges go, you know I prefer the S1. How about mechanically? Here’s that Oy Vey again, I have to admit I think I like the Eufy S1 more. The S1 has a mode call Max Strength, and I don’t know why but I love it. I find the Air 1 to be similar to Momcozy's other pumps, simple suction patterns/feel, not a bad thing but nothing new and exciting.

Momcozy Air 1 completely transparent collection cup and flange tunnel

Let’s talk about those flange tunnel lengths, because this is legit. The S1 has a longer tunnel, it’s not even a question. First things first, you don’t have the slim design with the S1- so you’re not restricted. The Air 1 is slim, it really is, which is great but also limits the length of the tunnel. It’s not a knock against the pump, it’s an inevitable design feature. Like I’ve said I can’t used the Air 1’s without a breast cushion because I do bounce off the sides and backside of the tunnel. I do not have this issue with the S1. This all said, the Eufy S1 will be my top choice for elastic tissue when comparing these two pumps. I think it's still worth mentioning, with some little help while navigating elastic tissue with the Air 1 is still a contender, just not the front runner.

Let’s not forget nipple alignment, the Air 1 will be undefeated in all comparisons for easiest pump for alignment! There’s no beating that fish bowl for your nipples. So I'd say this, if you don’t have elastic tissue, you want to see the fit up on your nipples in a mobile pump and want to see your milk volume increase as a visual aid- the Air 1 is definitely the right pick.

Do I think there’s a clear winner? Not really. The S1 and Air 1 are direct competitors but if you want simple and tech free- the M5 wins.

If you don’t want that short tunnel and you’re between the M5 and S1, I’d say consider the heat- do you need or want it? Then the Eufy S1 wins. If heat isn’t a factor and you want or just need basics- then the Momcozy M5 wins. If you're loving the idea of having sensors and watching your milk gather on the app while pumping in real time then 100% the Momcozy Air1 is your speed. TiP If you want to spend less and not buy the S1 Pro (with the charge case) but the heat flow sounds good and you want the app abilities - then don’t buy the Pro version- get the case-less version, simply the S1. You’ll still get the app control, comfortable silicone flange and heat.

Let’s not forget to chat about the volume of these three pumps, the Air 1 is going to take the cake for volume- unfortunately. Next will be the Momcozy M5 and then finally the quietest of the bunch is the Eufy S1. The M5 and S1 aren’t terrible different but the S1 is a touch quieter and wins this category.

Last but not least but maybe the most important factor, replacement parts. This is going to be quick because it’s a yes or a no. Unfortunately, the Momcozy Air 1 doesn’t have available replacement parts as of April 24, 2025. So you can order the pump from Target (the only place currently selling this pump) but if you need replacements you’re kind of in trouble. The M5 and S1 are easy peasy, no problems there.

Did this help or make things more confusing? Ugh, I hope this helped! Fingers crossed.
